The persecuted Christians in the world, is the largest silent global war that is going on. We will host members of the Coalition Save the Persecuted Christians who work with Mission of Hope and Mercy to talk about it. American journalist, Douglas Burton, works with independent journalists in Nigeria who report on the violence. He helps get their ‘Rural Watch’ stories published in US media. The Nigerian reporters are threatened with detention and harassed, some are in hiding, but they bravely continue their work.
Doug and his friends are breaking important stories, including an eye-witness account of Deborah’s stoning and death, by a friend who was with her. This friend says Nigerian police and DSS officers, numbering at least 50, stood by and did not disperse the crowd nor save Deborah’s life.
He has other stories like this implicating NG security services in collaboration or support of violent attacks.
He’s also been following the various bandit groups and their affiliations or agreements with jihadists.
ABOUT THE GUESTS:
Mrs Denise Laugesen, Executive Director of Save the Persecuted Christians Coalition.
Mr Doug Burton, independent journalist with articles appearing in the Washington Times, Epoch Times, Rural Watch in Nigeria and the National Catholic Register
