BIO: Graduated with PhD in Canon Law, Fr Charbel has specialized in marriage and family. He is a priest in the Diocese of Jbeil, assistant pastor at Saint Georges Maronite Parish in Halat, Jbeil, Lebanon, and a canon lawyer at the Maronite Tribunal and a friend of the Mission of Hope and Mercy.

BIO: Jacqueline Emanuel, graduated from ESA university with a Business/ finance degree. She worked as a freelance accountant and then was employed in Bank Med as senior customer service representative. Jackeline was a top performer over the past 10 years and got promoted 4 times. She now works as the in training Operation manager for the Mission of Hope and Mercy in order to organize and schedule the mission goals, protocols and set targets based on professional standards and norms.

4. The number of women religious decreased.
5. There is a huge imbalance of priests to lay faithful in the Americas.
6. The total number of bishops decreased slightly.
7. Brazil has the highest number of Catholics of any nation in the world.
8. The Church is growing quickly in Africa.
9. Africa breaks the trend by showing an increase in seminarians and religious brothers.
10. The number of permanent deacons increased.
B) Lebanon economy 2023:
At the start of 2023, Lebanon continues to experience one of the worst financial crises the world has seen since the 1850s. The country's economic collapse in 2019 -- along with the COVID-19 pandemic and the Port of Beirut explosion has led to such dire circumstances that even bank robbers are considered heroes.
The Lebanese pound has crashed, losing 95 percent of its value since 2019.The country's GDP went from $55 billion in 2018 to $20.5 billion in 2021. Such decline is normally seen during times of war, according to the World Bank. More than 80 percent of people are living in poverty, the UN says. That's nearly 5.5 million people. Without any social safety nets, people cannot afford basic necessities. A UNICEF report found that more than half of families with at least one child skip a meal.
C) Lebanon is not on the foreign countries list to offer help.
