Over the holidays we finally caught up on some Netflix movies and there was only one that was recommended so repeatedly by our friends. We knew they were probably right, but hot damn were they RIGHT. Sony Pictures Animation’s "KPop Demon Hunters" is an instant classic that has all of the best hallmarks of an original animated film. Directed and Written by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans the film was co-written by Danya Jimenez and Hannah McMechan.
The movie was animated by Sony Pictures Imageworks under the direction of Josh Beveridge. This movie is a flashy full blown KPop Musical with original songs written by Danny Chung, Ido, Vince, Kush, Ejae, Jenna Andrews, Stephen Kirk, Lindgren, Mark Sonnenblick, and Daniel Rojas.

Half KPop/half demon hunter Girl band, Huntrix consists of Rumi (Voiced by Arden Cho, Singing by Ejae) the lead vocalist and nepo-baby. Mira (voiced by May Hong, singing by Audrey Nuna) as the main dancer and rebellious black sheep of her wealthy family. and Zoey (Voiced by Ji-Young Yoo, singing by Rei Ami) the groups rapper and lyricist and is the youngest member of the group who was torn between where she was raised in Burbank, California family’s homeland.
Opposing Huntrix the half KPop/all demon boy band is the Saja Boys. The groups leader is Jinu (Voiced by Ahn Hyo-Seop, singing by Andrew choi) He is joined by Romance Saja (Joel Kim Booster/Samuil Lee), Mystery Saja (Alan Lee/Kevin Woo), Abby Saja (SungWon Cho, Neckwav) and Baby Saja (Danny Chung).
The cast is rounded out by Celine (Yunjin Kim, Lea Salonga) as Rumi’s foster mother and former kpop idol/demon hunter. Daniel Dae Kim as Dr*. Healer Han, Ken Jeong as Huntrix’s manager Bobby, and Lee Byung-Hun as King of the Demons Gwi-Ma
