Guy Livingston: The Bug - "music, secrets, and silence"

Goodbye, Spatz Sperling

Listen Later

This show is dedicated to the Sperling Family and the memory of Michael ‘Spatz’ Sperling, who passed away last week.
In this episode of American Highways, pianist Guy Livingston brings us music inspired by his father-in-law, a German emigrant to South Africa who created a beautiful wine farm, against all odds, and planted thousands of trees, in an attempt to re-create the Black Forest of his youth. On a mountainside overlooking Cape-Town and the ocean.
Join me in raising a glass to honor this stubborn and heroic bon-vivant.
