Years ago, I heard a country-western song at a festival in Oregon which said, “God is good all the time and all the time, God is good!” I love this simple expression because it’s so true. God is infinitely good. He doesn’t ever have mean thoughts, like you and I might. He doesn’t do anything with malicious intent. Psalm 136:1 in the Bible says, “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, his steadfast love endures forever.” The Bible also talks about how all that God creates is good. James 1:17 says, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights...”

Because we know that God is good, and we know that what God creates is good, we can trust that God’s plan for our life is going to be the best thing for us. We can be encouraged that God’s way is truly the best way.

This week, think about the choices you make each day. Are you letting God guide them? Is God present in your conversations with friends? Are you reflecting God’s goodness in how you act and what you say?                          This is Luis Palau.
