We continue our insurtech exploration with a lively interview with Joe D’Souza, founder of ProNavigator, which provides independent agents, MGAs and carriers a cloud-based knowledge management platform called Sage. With AI and machine learning, Sage makes an organization’s documents — from underwriting manuals to forms — searchable in a central knowledge base, allowing staff easy, quick access to information. While much of the insurtech innovation is consumer-facing, Joe believes insurance organizations internally need more efficiency. “People are one of the bigger factors for success. We have a retiring workforce, issues finding qualified workers and keeping trained staffs…in a distributed, remote workforce. It’s a huge challenge. And yet we waste a lot of time on repetitive tasks.”
