Watching this again in stunning quality thanks to the special limited-edition 4K release — an amazing gift from my wife — really highlights the incredible miniature work, effects, and old-school charm that make this film so memorable.

In this fan commentary, I talk about the film’s place in monster movie history, its emotional core, the creature effects, and how Gorgo stands alongside (and apart from) its kaiju cousins from the same era.
