Saskatchewan's Finance Minister Donna Harpauer announced the mid-year update for the budget is on track and forecasting a surplus of $1.1 billion for 2022-23 up from the first quarter forecast by $50.1 million, and a $1.6 billion improvement from the budget. His second book “The Gormley Papers: I’m Right and You Know It” is a compilation of newspaper columns touching on everything from current issues to living a better life.

Appointed King's Counsel, John has also been on Saskatchewan Business Magazine’s list of the province’s 10 Most Influential People.
