Military Family Appreciation Day is on Sept. 15, a national day declared by the Canadian government to recognize military families for their sacrifice. More than 10,000 families with the military each year must relocate an almost half go an average of four months without their loved one while they are deployed. One such family member is Eleanor Millar, a working military mother and military and government relations officer at the Canadian military family non-profit, Together We Stand. She joins Gormley to speak to the realities that military families like her own face and the importance of Military Family Appreciation Day.
