Last week, the public hearings for the Emergency Act were officially underway. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced they were invoking the emergency act on February 14th of this year, due to the freedom convoy. This was the first time it has ever been used since it was created in 1988. These public hearings will include witnesses such as Justin Trudeau, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino, and Ottawa convoy protesters and organizers.
