While bats to some are a nocturnal nightmare, the flying mammals can be invaluable -- especially in Saskatchewan, as they eat pests that can hurt crops. But bats are facing a fatal fungal disease, called White-nose Syndrome, that is threatening their survival. Researchers at the University of Saskatchewan are studying the disease.
