The Saskatchewan government’s new “Parents’ Bill of Rights” has been introduced in the legislature. While many parents are pleased with the move that would ensure they remain informed of changes their children want to make to their gender and how they wish to be referred to, others still are in opposition, claiming the bill will put children in the LGBTQ+ community at risk. We go to the Reality Check phones and ask: Is the Saskatchewan government doing the right thing by introducing the parental consent bill?
