For 30 years, climate policy has focused on mitigating or reducing emissions and has not been effective as emissions continue to rise. A climate policy focused on adaptation could be the more effective way. Ross McKitrick is a professor of economics at the University of Guelph and wrote a study on the need for adaptation needs a greater focus in climate policy. He joins Gormley to discuss why we need to do this.
