A new book from a Regina author called "The Trauma Beat: A Case For Re-Thinking The Business of Bad News." It looks at what it takes to be on the crime beat, its impact on trauma survivors, and the media covering the stories. Tamara Cherry is the book's author and an award-winning journalist who spent 15 years reporting on crime in Canada's biggest newsrooms in Toronto. She joins Gormley to discuss her book and what she learned about trauma while covering crime.
