More than 100,000 children were sent to Canada from the United Kingdom between 1867 and 1948 as indentured farm labourers and domestic servants -- with many ending up in Saskatchewan. Susan Brazeau, a historian and speaker from Lloydminster, will be travelling to Saskatoon on Oct. 6 to give a presentation at the Saskatoon Public Library on the topic. On National British Home Child Day, Brazeau joins Taylor MacPherson to share a preview of her in-depth knowledge and more people need to know about the subject.
