The invocation of the Daimoku is itself the Dharma. In other words, if you want to escape the Law of Formations, you can only do so by using your Samsaric Human existence and perceptive mind, to experience the state of observing the Formations prior to your attachment to them. The very act of doing so is itself the act of Formation of the clear and unattached conscience (Buddha). So, with the commitment and resolve of a Bodhisattva, one can invoke (and simultaneously experience) the Buddha.
