Parenting does not begin with skills and abilities. It's neither simply about managing a household and keeping things afloat. Ultimately, Christian parents are called to "make disciples."

To be able to produce good things in children, we need to understand God loves our children more than we parents do. By God's design, God prunes us so we bear more fruit. However, to bear spiritual fruit, abiding in Christ is how we do so because He is the true vine and apart from Him, we can do nothing.
