We welcomed Rowan to speak at GCC for the first time, opening up Romans 14–15 with us. The key takeaway: our relationships in church ought to be loving & shaped by the Gospel that unites us.

As Paul points out in this passage to the Romans, this means that, when addressing conflicts on disputable matters in church, we shouldn’t condemn but welcome, we shouldn’t stumble another but seek the mutual good, and most of all we should be full of Gospel hope in Jesus’s gift of freedom to us and God’s plan for the unity of the church.
