“I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.” – Acts 20:35

We often hear stories of the gospel heroes, but it’s not very often that we hear about those behind the scenes; the hidden heroes who planted seeds because they have a vision for what Papa God is wanting to grow. They have a vision for the things that are eternal rather than temporal.

Come with me on a little journey through history as I remember the gospel patrons; the ones who resourced Jesus, the apostle Paul and William Tyndale.

The New Testament highlights different stories of people who encountered Jesus and wanted to give of their resources to the apostles and to Jesus in order to provide for the mission at hand. Many of these givers were women who responded out of an encounter. Their generosity has forever changed the course of history.

Maybe you are called to business or you are a teacher or stay at home parent. You might be a pastor or a government employee. Wherever you find yourself, there is a unique calling on your life to love the Lord. No one can love Him like you do. Today I want to honor those who have shared their resources in the kingdom, out of obedience, to see many names added to the Lamb’s book of Life. God sees you, knows you, and loves you. You have put your treasure in heaven where it cannot be destroyed.

One of the greatest honors and joys I have had in my life has been to give and it truly fills me with joy. My Father gave. He gave because this is the way He wanted to love us. He gave us Jesus, the greatest gift and so, we get to give. Generosity is in our DNA.

I pray that you not only enjoy this podcast today, but the love of the Father will encounter you in a very special way this week. Love you!
