When Paul penned his 2nd letter to Timothy, he wrote with the end of his life near and a sense of Gospel urgency, seeking to compel Timothy to continue the ministry Paul had found and through which Timothy had come to faith, and to faithfully pursue and proclaim the Gospel for the rest of his life. The charge to the modern Church is no different.
