Paul’s great burden for the Corinthian church was for them to be restored to the glorious image of the Lord Jesus Christ. This, of course, is the goal of the gospel. In the final words of this epistle, Paul highlights three requirements for a church’s spiritual restoration:
1. Gospel Authority (vv. 1–4)
2. Gospel Assurance (vv. 5–6)
3. Gospel Affection (vv. 7–10)
