For this episode, I have Dr. Raymond Wise, who is an African American and African Diaspora studies professor at Indiana University. He also is the director of the African American Choral Ensemble at Indiana State, has worked as a music director for many different professional gospel choirs, and has prepared choirs to sing for many professional artists. I brought him on the podcast today to talk to us about gospel music, the origins of the gospel, why he loves the gospel genre, and his favorite gospel artist or pieces.
I hope you all enjoy!
