Like a lawyer, Paul lays out the case for the gospel. “There is none righteous, not even one.” (3:10) “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” (3:23).  Paul’s message is clear, under God’s moral law, we all stand condemned.  The Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:3-17), for example, reveal our disobedience, sinfulness, and condemnation.
