The city of San Jose, CA has one of the coolest named networks in municipal Wi-Fi, and the brainchild of that Wi-Fi is former CIO Vijay Simmeta. In response to an economic crisis, they deployed an advanced wireless product with the aim of aiding economic development and spurring users into the wild to use their new "Wickedly Fast Wi-Fi."
