They have just released their Good Governance Index report for 2024 which provides a holistic overview of the state of local governance in the country. This time around, the report features several critical additions which he says includes the introduction of a scoring and ranking system for district municipalities, as well as a more forensic breakdown of municipal performance by province, and according to the treasury’s Municipal Infrastructure Investment Framework.
