Last night, US President Donald Trump delivered his second State of the Union address from Washington DC.  We’ll go over the highlights and lowlights with Reggie Checchini in Washington.
The BC NDP has promised to enact recommendations made by the province’s top watchdogs to improve transparency at the legislature, in the wake of allegations of outrageous spending by two top officials.
An investigation by Glacier News has revealed Kenneth Tollstam, the former City of North Vancouver manager - was able to purchase a $16m waterfront mansion in West Vancouver after quietly moonlighting as a director, officer and investor of at least a dozen penny stock start up companies.  Are retail investors on the hook for terrible stocks because of this former city manager?
Angela Bains is a graphic design instructor at BCIT. It was suggested to Angela after she graduated high school in the 70’s, to go into a field like nursing, or to become a secretary, as those were the ‘fields for women’.  She instead pursued a graphic design, was one of the only women, and the only minority in the program, and now uses her graphic design skills to affect social change around the globe.
