For the past three Mondays we have been focusing on some of the challenges faced by farmers in our country. We spoke to those who are in the industry to try and understand what it is they are going through and what they believe should be done to improve conditions. So for today we have approached government to find out what sort of programmes there are to assist farmers and how they are dealing with issues of red tape, land availability, access to markets and other forms of assistance to make the sector win and also attract new entrants.
