Join Dean Hoon as he sits down with Deonte Warren, Assistant Professor of Music Theatre Voice at Austin Peay State University. Born and raised in the vibrant music scene of Nashville, Deonte's journey began from the Nashville Gospel scene and led to performing on Broadway, where he was Standby for Genie, Babkak, and The Sultan in Aladdin. After the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the theatre industry, Deonte returned to university to complete his degree and entered the job search to share his passion for music and theatre through teaching.
