Launched on February 21, the 5G hackathon will conclude at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) on October 16, 2020, and will be conducted over three phases.

The shortlisted 100 ideas will share a prize pool of INR 2.5 Cr.

5G or the fifth generation technology increases the downloading and uploading speeds over the mobile network.

As of now, the government is looking to sell the 5G spectrum in the bands of 3.3-3.6 GHz and the 700 MHz.
