The government is working on a financial package for various sectors, including civil aviation and tourism, to deal with the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic that has impacted the economy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday announced setting up of a task force under Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to take necessary actions "in the near future" after analysing the coronavirus pandemic situation.
In his address to the nation, Modi said that keeping in mind economic challenges posed by the coronavirus outbreak, the COVID-19 Economic Response Task Force will be set up.
"The task force would be in constant contact with all the stakeholders, take their feedback and after analysing the situation take necessary decision in the future," he said.
