When you are planning a trip or working towards a goal, you should have a date for when things happen. In the case of a trip the date is important as it allows you to plan for everything you need to do leading up to the trip or accomplishment of a goal. Do you have your goals, important dates, etc. on a calendar?
The most important part of planning a trip is where are you going. You can’t just go to the airport and say give me a ticket. They need to know where you want to go. When and how fast you want to arrive. When you want to return. And more. So where do you want to go in life or business? Strategic planning will help you get there.
Now that you know where you are going you can plan your trip. As a business and in life it takes time to see the benefits of an action. Yet like a trip the strategic plan provides details around cost, what you need to do to get there, and what you will do once you are there. How will it feel?
