GPS Training podcast – number 50

It’s our 50th episode, so we have a slightly different Podcast this month. hold onto your seats and I hope you enjoy it.

In this month’s podcast

I am going to talk to each of the team members about what their roles are within GPS Training and hopefully tease a few funny stories out of each of them

Then we are going ask the questions to the staff? Some random questions I have put in a hat

The first thing on this months Podcast is to help you find out more about each of the team here at GPS Training

Before we start this chat I will first, with a very broad brush, explain the different aspects of the businesses –

Shepherds Walks – day walks, walking guides, courses and events
Shepherds Walks Holidays
Capricorn Mohair Socks

But for this Podcast, we are just going to concentrate on the two GPS-related parts of our business.

Outdoor GPS Shop – I dropped this into our January Podcast when we discussed the 10 bestselling GPS units

What and why we have Outdoor GPS Shop

eBay, Amazon and own website – channels we sell through

And

GPS Training – largest independent retailer of Outdoor GPS units in the UK and also, we do nationwide physical training courses as well as online training (online resource) and webinars.

So, now you hopefully know a little bit more about the business and how it’s made up let’s see how each of the staff (- Jackie who solely does holidays) fits within it –

What question do you get asked the most?

What question do you get asked that you really must stop – have a deep breath, relax, before you answer?

Thinking about how this would make your life easier, what one thing would you like and GPS manufacturer to do to any GPS unit?

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would that be and why?

If you were going off today on a 15 mile walk what GPS unit would you take with you?

If you could make one thing change in this business overnight (no budget), what would it be?

AA batteries or built-in battery in a GPS unit?

Favorite walk?

What one sneaky thing do you keep in your rucksack?

New GPST website – very topical at the moment, as it’s just been live just over a month

What one thing do you like about the new GPST website?

In two weeks’ time – middle March – we are having a bonus GPS training webinar, in this I interview Greg Villalobos (trail rider) – on his experiences, both in using his Garmin Montana 700 on a trail bike but also on a fascinating life he has led in the world of media.
