JOHN: THE GOSPEL OF BELIEF - The very first verse of John’s gospel has the Son, who was God with God in His eternal existence before the world was even created. And this last verse places the ascended Son back at the “Father’s side.” So before John even begins to unfold the events of the earthly life of Jesus, he tips his hand. The Son’s mission is already a completed success. We will get all of the historic earthly details, but the point of the Son’s coming has already been accomplished.
