In taking the Gospel to the Gentiles, Paul had to deal with Jews who thought they were better because they were the chosen of God, and Gentiles who thought they were better because they were the new generation of believers. Paul's message is that all of us are broken, and all of us receive God's grace, not because we are deserving, but because God gives it without reservation.
