What do you do with a scripture you know you need to remember—but don’t want to memorize?

In this episode, I’m sharing my Truth Wall, a simple scripture journaling method I use to keep important truths where I can actually see them. Using index cards and transparent sticky notes, I pull out short phrases from scripture and put them somewhere I’ll encounter them again and again.

But this episode is about more than remembering scripture.

We are constantly surrounded by messages about who we are, what we’re worth, and what other people think of us. Add our own critical thoughts and Satan’s lies, and it can become surprisingly easy to treat something as truth simply because we’ve heard it—or thought it—enough times.

So I’m learning to ask a better question:

What do I KNOW to be true?

The Truth Wall is my way of making those truths visible—so when the lies get loud, I have something real to come back to.

Sometimes we rush through scripture study trying to read more*—more verses, more chapters, more pages. But what if slowing down and studying just **ONE VERSE* could help you discover more?In this video, I’m sharing my **One Verse Method**, a simple scripture journaling technique that helps me slow down, look more closely at the words, make connections, and find personal meaning in a single verse.You don’t need hours of study or an elaborate journaling setup. Pick one verse. Slow down. Ask questions. Follow what stands out to you. Sometimes there is far more waiting inside one verse than we realize.

Have you ever wondered how you’re supposed to find answers to your real-life questions in scriptures written thousands of years ago?

One simple habit completely changed the way I approach scripture study: I ask first.

Before I begin studying, I write down a question—something I’m struggling with, wondering about, praying about, or simply want Heavenly Father to teach me. Then I open my scriptures and start seeking.

In this episode, I’m sharing why questions can transform the way we study, what the Savior’s invitation to “ask, seek, and knock” teaches us about receiving personal revelation, and a story about my little girl that gave the word knock a whole new meaning for me.

Questions give us something to seek.

And sometimes the answer doesn’t come from the verse we expected—or even in the way we expected. But when we come to God with a question and study with an open heart, we give ourselves a reason to slow down, notice, listen, and recognize what He may be trying to teach us.

Ask first. Then seek. And don’t be afraid to knock. 🤍

For years, I unknowingly connected my worth to what I accomplished.
