Anger is a powerful emotion. We need to hear and heed the wisdom of God about the presence of anger in our hearts and its expression in our lives. We have the Lord himself to look to for this wisdom. May his love replace our sinful anger and guide our righteous anger toward redemptive expression.

Jason Miller preaches from Proverbs 9. Proverbs 9 presents us all with the choice between wisdom and folly. We must examine the character, offer, and results of each option. A life built upon wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord and results in spiritual life and health, but the pathway of folly ends in death. Proverbs 8 tells us that God has kindly revealed his wisdom to all people in all of creation. The result is that every person has an awareness of God. But God and his wisdom have been rejected, bringing disorder to the world God wisely ordered. God so loved the world that he sent his Son Jesus Christ to atone for sin and to reconcile us to himself. When Christ is received we find life, and we return to the wisdom of God for the way to live.
