Gene Benedict is A Licensed Professional Counselor, (LPC-S), a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and certified in the supervision of counseling interns (LPCI). Gene is well known for his caring, compassion and wise counsel, as well as his biblical approach to life. Gene is an expert in the treatment of domestic violence issues including physical, sexual, mental and emotional abuse. He was trained by Paul Hegstrom, Ph.D, and author of Angry Men and the Women Who Love Them. Gene has been married for 40 years, has two daughters and seven grandchildren. Through the years, Gene has worked in the areas of, Divorce Care recovery program; troubled children and teens; Mental Health, twelve step chemical and drug addiction recovery program; adolescents and geriatrics at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Mental Hospital; specialty training in the areas of domestic violence and chemical dependency; the men’s facilitator for “Learning to Live, Learning to Love” in San Antonio which is a domestic violence recovery program; and Counselor for troubled marriages and helping make good marriages even better.
