💥 Join me today on the podcast as I exhort: Now that we have been saved by grace where no amount of "works" on our part could have saved us, we are commanded throughout the New Testament to live a clean, holy, and sanctified life in Christ, as we are led by the Holy Spirit to overcome sin and obey Christ Jesus. For only those who are led by the Holy Spirit are in fact sons (and daughters) of God. Therefore, our lives are not our own. We cannot do whatever we want to do and expect God to okay our foolishness and reckless behavior all in the name of "grace!" God forbid!
The problem is: many of God's wayward children are abusing His grace and are rejecting any degree of repentance!! They use grace as a license to remain in sin. They use it as a cover-up to go on living lives that are disobedient, while they submit to doctrines of demons such as: "Easy Believism," "Once Saved /Always Saved" and "Eternal Security" which allows them to live unchanged lives and that somehow God will usher them into His Kingdom anyway. Well, that's deception.
The Bible tells us in John 15 that we are branches and Christ Jesus is the Vine. When you break off from the Vine, you are no longer abiding in Him! And just like a broken off a branch, you will be thrown into the fire to be burned, according to John 15:6.
As shared by a sister in Christ on facebook: "Obedience is essential to our salvation. The most evil doctrine ever to be foisted upon humanity by Satan is the doctrine of Unconditional Eternal Security: the belief that there is nothing we can do to forfeit our salvation once we have accepted Christ regardless of any filthy lifestyle we choose to engage in. It is the false assurance that obedience to God's word has nothing to do with our eternal destiny (when it absolutely does). It was through the same clever line of reasoning that Satan convinced Eve she could disobey God's commands and not die."
