Some episodes teach you how to turn wood.
Others quietly remind you how God shapes a life.
This is one of those episodes.
What started as an ordinary Saturday became an unexpected journey. With my family out of town, a quiet house, an unfinished sermon, friends carrying heavy burdens, and a restless heart, I found myself taking what I call a "walkabout." That simple trip led me to a piece of coffee wood I'd never seen before and, ultimately, to one of the most meaningful bowls I've ever turned.
As the shavings began to fall, my thoughts drifted to the story of Elijah in the wilderness and the quiet ways God meets us when we're exhausted, overwhelmed, or simply trying to keep moving forward.
This episode is longer than my recent videos, but it's also one of the most personal conversations I've shared here on Grace, Grit, and Grounds. If you've ever felt the weight of ministry, work, family, loss, change, or simply the noise of everyday life, I hope you'll pull up a shop stool, grab a cup of coffee, and stay for the whole journey.
Because sometimes the journey isn't about getting somewhere.
It's about becoming someone while you're on the way.
If this episode encourages you, I'd be honored if you'd like the video, subscribe to the channel, and share it with someone who could use a little hope today.
