Jude tells the recipients of the letter to contend for the faith. But what in what areas do we contend? In this lesson, we learn that believers contend for belief, struggling agaist unbelief.

Who are the people labeled as "certain people"? They are not accused of doctrinal error, but living in a way that denies the Lordship of Jesus Christ.  

What does it mean to contend for the faith, and how do we do it? Jude reminds us that contending for the faith is something we do through engaging the world, but it is also something we do as we seek to personally walk in the Spirit.

When Jude writes of a common salvation, he recognizes humanity's common need. Salvation by grace through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ is the answer.

In the opening greeting, Jude offers a prayer for the recipients, but it is not the prayer we would expect. He desires that they overflow with mercy, peace, and love amid their circumstances. 

In this lesson, we finish the first verse of Jude. What does it mean that those who are called are kept? It is a truth that provides present and future hope.

There are moments when we read Scripture as a congregation that produce a thought: "That's not what my Bible says." Why are there differences at times between the text the preacher reads and the Bible held in the hands of the congregant? In this lesson, we look at a phrase in Jude that contains different words in different translations, but the message is still the same and consistent with the rest of Scripture.

What does it mean when Jude uses the term "called"? Jude does not identify the recipients by name or geographic location. Instead, he labels them using a term used throughout the Bible. 

This episode begins a new series through the book of Jude. What does Jude have to say about Jesus? In the first verse, Jude lays a foundation for contending for the faith. It begins by knowing Jesus.

When God's people rightly worship, there will be active resistance. Chapter 4 begins a record of snapshots spanning 15-16 years. These snapshots provide insight into the events that delayed the temple's continued construction. Though people in the land wanted to help, they were not who they claimed to be.
