Grace Pursues, Faith Overtakes

Listen Later

The New Testament does not call sons to pursue, overtake, and recover. Grace already did that.

This teaching draws a sharp line between Old Testament striving and New Testament rest, arguing that Grace pursued you into Christ, Faith has already overtaken the enemy, and all recovery belongs to you in him. The distinction being pressed is not merely positional but practical: when a son tries to cover himself through effort, hustle, or another person's provision, he pays the full cost of what Grace was always meant to carry. The teaching then handles the difference between experience and wisdom, using Moses, Joshua, Caleb, and the Israelites to show that experience without seeing Christ in the story produces moon walkers. Sons who appear to be moving but are stuck, managing themselves from pain rather than resting in the one who was present through all of it. To see God's intention in what you are going through, you must first present yourself to him, because attention is paid by submission.
