Some idiot in the Prime Minister's Office thought it would be a good idea to try to play nice with Grace Tame. They had no choice, of course, but she was never to give a man she hates the benefit of the doubt - and she didn't. She threw it all back in his face with interest - and kept the story going another day.

The only interruption to that debacle were stories about how the religious discrimination bill failed. The bill annoys the left for its perceived slight against gay and trans children, and it annoys the right for not protecting what they see as religious freedoms. So he's annoyed everyone. It takes real talent to achieve that in politics. Whatever it is, it's not a win. It also raisdes the question: why would you vote for the Liberals?
