A combat veteran and former paratrooper, Bill Glose has written hundreds of articles, short stories, poems, and essays for numerous publications. Prisons, VA hospitals, universities, and writers’ conferences are among the many venues where Glose has given lectures and taught creative writing workshops. In 2011 he was named the Daily Press Poet Laureate and in 2017 he was featured by NPR on The Writer’s Almanac. His book, All the Ruined Men, won the 2023 Library of Virginia Fiction Award. Other honors include the F. Scott Fitzgerald Short Story Award and the Dateline Award for Excellence in Journalism.
