Sometimes, the smallest things can cause the most annoyance in our personal relationships. Maybe it is an annoying habit of your close friend, roommate, or fellow church volunteer. Or an uncorrected fault by a coworker. Sometimes, these small annoyances can shake our unity as believers. And when we let our annoyance with unbelievers overcome us, we are probably not in a good place to be sharing the Good News.
So what’s the solution? When we focus on God and His grace towards us, it can enable us to show more grace to others. When we remember that we are far from perfect, yet God loves us—we can have more love for the imperfect people in our lives.
The Bible says in Matthew 7:3, “Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?” In Ephesians 4:2, the Bible says to act “with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.”
I encourage you to practice grace with the people in your world. Consider loving them as God loves you and me. This will open doors to sharing God’s grace, and sharing the Good News. This is Luis Palau.
