Life Lessons team was shocked to discover how little money Bible-believing Christians are actually investing to ensure that somebody shares the good news of Jesus with seekers.
Currently, less than half of a percent of American evangelicals’ giving goes to ministry among the world’s least evangelized, where only 5 percent of 420,000 missionaries are serving.
Of the world’s 7.5 billion people, 2 billion have not heard the Good News. Of 16,000 people groups in the world today, over 6,000 people groups are still unreached.
That’s why 7 missionary partner organizations – Bibles for the World, GMI, Mission Nexus, Operation Mobilization, Partners International, Reach Beyond, and World Missions – have come together for the second annual International Day for the Unreached on Pentecost Sunday, June 4, 2017. (www.DayForTheUnreached.org)
Pentecost Sunday was deliberately selected since that was the day the Holy Spirit fell on the first followers of Jesus, enabling and charging them to share the Gospel with people from all over the world.
