Language: English

Publisher's Summary:
Graceland Cemetery is one of Chicago's most outstanding memorial grounds. It's like a little town with a private lake and mausoleums lining its streets.
The funerary architecture is spectacular. Here lie Chicago's deceased: baseball players, boxers, ballerinas, fire victims, detectives, politicians, department store owners, and inventors. They passed through nature and on to eternity, but not without a pawky connection to Sherlock Holmes.

Love this book
Really a well-researched, informative and interesting history of Graceland! Love this book.
Creepy Connections to Conan Doyle!
My thanks go out to Steve and Timi at MX Publishing for my copy of this work of love. May you never require the services of a Sherlock Holmes!
This is another work by Brenda Rossini which I would hesitate to actually call a âbook.â I have now read this book twice. Unlike the other Brenda Rossini Sherlockian book I recently reviewed, I actually understood this one perfectly!
I found the connections between tombs and tombstones in Chicagoâs Graceland Cemetery and the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle rather morbid and very interesting! I also liked the period cartoon that shows Doyle on a chair shackled to Holmes! Doyle wanted to be free from Holmes and killed him off at Reichenbach Falls, but unfortunately for himâextremely fortunate for readers!âHolmes paid the bills that his other works did not. Doyle wrote historical books and even horror stories, he had another hero in Professor Challenger, but Holmes made his fame and fortune.
I rather like this short âbook.â I give it four starsâ
