Graduate student workers picketed outside campus gates at three locations today. They are asking for better wages and benefits in their contracts. The grad students, about three thousand of them, formed a union last February and they're now in their seventh month of negotiations with the University. The students called today's picketing "the Last Chance". They say they're ready to go on strike if they can't get a contract that allows them to afford the cost of living.
