Sherrie shares her own story of grief after the loss of her child, and discusses how she channeled her pain into helping others. Dave and Sherrie also discuss the impact of grief on various aspects of life, the notion of graduating from grief, and Sherrie's book 'How Can I Help?' aimed at guiding people on how to support their loved ones through life's difficulties.

Sherrie Dunlevy is a former NBC News anchor who served the Wheeling, Virginia area for nearly 30 years, both on television and radio.

Today, she is a best selling author inspirational speaker, and the founder of the Graduating Grief Academy and online support community, as well as host of the Graduating Grief podcast. Her number one best selling book, How Can I Help?, was written to help people know exactly what to say and do when the people they love and care about are hurting.

Sherrie has found a way to graduate from the pain of losing a child in a high profile career. And is now sharing with others how they too can learn, grow, and expand their lives after tragedies, losses, and disappointments. As a self proclaimed inspirationista,  Sherrie's passion lies in inspiring and encouraging women to step beyond the pain of their past so they can step fully into living with purpose, passion,  and joy.
