BIOGRAFÍA
Grainne Loucia Duffy, es una guitarrista, cantante y compositora de Irlanda. Sus géneros específicos incluyen soul, blues y americana enriquecidos con algunos elementos country y pop. Duffy es conocida por su excepcional voz inspirada en las fuentes de Memphis, pero también refleja las ricas corrientes subterráneas de sus raíces celtas irlandesas.
Como colegiala cantaba en su coro local y también en una banda familiar con sus hermanas. Su interés por la música escuchando a artistas como Aretha Franklin, The Pretenders y The Rolling Stones. Alrededor de ese tiempo, Grainne descubrió Fleetwood Mac y el blues de Peter Green, a quien ella cita como una de sus principales influencias de guitarra.
En 2008, Duffy jugó 3 días en el famoso Festival de Glastonbury. Y en 2009, la BBC grabó una versión de la canción de Oleta Adams 'Get Here' para una campaña televisiva.
