If you weren't Live with us and 2019 Grammy Nominees, Teresa James and Terry Wilson (Best Contemporary Blues Album - Teresa James & The Rhythm Tramps; Here in Babylon), about 15 minutes into the BROADcast, the camera shut down under heat distress in the studio built for 2, which four of us and a whole lotta instruments were crammed into, closed door, no windows, sans A/C, as it was making a racket… a gift in a way, as it was hotter than hades in there… a few more minutes and you might’ve read about us in the morning paper. Show abruptly halted was a major bummer for all. I was singing the blues without a Grammy nod, until we picked up at the baby grand in the cool living room. It was worth the disruption. Pete and I had a great time hearing tales of Teresa and Terry’s early years in Texas… then on the road––with Jimmy Reed & Lightnin’ Hopkins––making music in London, New York, first apart, and then together, landing in LA. Through soccer mommy and daddying, parenting and PTAing on the same day as singing with Huey Lewis at night.. touring the world together playing music with Eric Burdon… making great, great, music of their own, treating us to a bunch of tunes, a few spectacular ones of theirs, a Burdon classic, and a Jodi Siegel/Danny Timms tune which I love their version of, and they played at my request. We got a sample from their upcoming album, Teresa James & The Rhythm Tramps LIVE, dropping Oct 25th… we were schooled on best protocol for procuring music for the artist. Please check their sites first, and download… from iTunes or get it from CD Baby… musicians make less than a penny from Pandora and Spotify. We talked about the biz some, what it takes to be an artist in this digital age. Mostly, they told great stories… it was so much fun. 

I love these people as much for their talent as for their beautiful souls. It was only a second real meeting, but they made us feel as if we'd known them forever. Instant family. Please give a watch and make your day. I know it will again make mine.
